Our relationship with Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour is deep and personal. It guides us in all the things we do, and the majesty he has created for us can be seen in every part of our lives. But did you know that your favorite color can actually symbolize your relationship with God? The Bible uses colors to signify different things. Read on to see what meaning your favorite color holds in the Word of the Lord!

Red

Red is a color of intense passion, and not just in romance novels! Red is used throughout the Bible to symbolize moments of great passion and strength.

In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

Perhaps the most powerful imagery in the Bible is the blood of Christ. Jesus bled and died for our sins, and through Communion we recieve his Blessings. In this case, red represents the powerful compassion that Jesus had for all people, and his ultimate sacrifice.

If your favorite color is red, perhaps it's because you're loyal to the people you love, and you would do anything to see them saved. Red in the bible represents represents a willingness to sacrifice yourself in the name of Love of your children, friends, or family.

Orange

Orange is the color of fire, and a fitting favorite for anyone who is not afriad to speak the word of the lord loudly without fear!

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire

As you can see, the color of fire is truly one to recon with. If your favorite color is Orange, consider that it's because you're a firey person who burns the the word of the lord, and you are destined to spread that word like a wildfire.

Yellow

If your favorite color is Yellow, God has a divine purpose for you! Throughout the bible, references to the Golden light of God, and the light of the sun, represent the will of God *literally* shining through you.

While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

And not only is your light uplifting and wonderful to those around you, those who love God's light most of all have a knack for shining out the darkness in the lives of others.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.

Yellow is often refered to as the color of gold, and represents the preciousness of God's creation.

Those who love the color Yellow likely follow God's spirt very closely, and speak his word to dispel falsehoods, like light dispels the dark!

Green

The color Green, as we know, is most commonly seen on Earth as plants, leaves, grass and trees. And most often, we equate growth of new life with the Spring time, which is also the time of Resurection!

He is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither, and who prospers in all he does.

Green represents the resurection of Jesus Christ, and the life God gives our *green* Earth. People who love the color Green are the most nurturing people. They tend to those in need, and lend a hand. God loves those who love Green!

Blue

Blue is the most abundant color on God's Earth, as it is our water, and our sky! But did you know blue also represents Heaven itself?

Moses saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something like a pavement made of lapis lazuli, as bright blue as the sky.

If your favorite color is blue, not only do you love clear skies, you love the clear consience of the divine, and God's gift of eternal life in Heaven!

Purple

Purple is a color most often associated with royalty. And who is more royal than the King of Kings, Jesus Christ?

 On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.

If you love purple, then you're in the company of the divine, because Jesus Christ himself, King of Kings, loves it too!
